Polish Leader’s VIP Tour Stops by Matzah Factory in Kfar Chabad
January 16, 2008
Former Polish president Lech Walesa, a former trade unionist whose Solidarity party helped usher in a social revolution in the once-Communist country, visited the Israeli village of Kfar Chabad on Tuesday. The trip was arranged by Rabbi Shalom DovBer Stambler, director of Chabad-Lubavitch of Poland, after Walesa, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, informed him that he wanted to be better acquainted with Chasidic life.
