Science Was Given To Us By Hashem... Without Science We Would Not Have The Cure For Many Ailments...The Average Life Span Has Increased Tremendously...Around The Period Of World War I.... The Average Life Span Was 47 Years Old...Now It Is Somewhere Near 80 Years & More...Without Science We Would Be Equal To The Caveman... Reply

The syllogism of science. Today's dose seems to allude to the "syllogism of science:"
If it exists, it can be defined.
If it can be defined, it can be observed.
If it can be observed, it can be predicted and controlled.
The scientific [or more likely, scientistic] worldview is, of course, the new kid on the block; and taken to the extreme, yet one more playing field for our hubris. Although a powerful tool, science seems more often employed to build towers of Babel, than bridges to G-d. That is, as an idol to enable the creature to worship itself, rather than its Creator.
