Torah teaches: “You are what you eat.” The holy books tell us that non-Kosher food desensitizes the person, G-d forbid, and instills cruel traits within him. How crucial it is then for Jewish food to be Kosher to the highest standard! The Jewish woman is entrusted to ensure the Kashrus of the Jewish People’s food. Both the physical and spiritual health of our people depend on her. Something this crucial certainly requires an added degree of Divine assistance. Every Jewish Kitchen should have a charity box prominently on display. This will serve as a reminder to the Jewish woman to constantly help those in need, and to acknowledge G-d for providing for her family. G-d, in turn, will bless her efforts, in both the physical and the spiritual. |
