Colorado State University's student dining hall went kosher yet again for a Passover Seder Saturday night. Rabbi Yerachmiel Gorelik, co-director of Chabad-Lubavitch of Northern Colorado and administrator of the Chabad Jewish Student Center based at the university, conducted the Seder at the Lory Student Center.
The dining hall allowed Gorelik to kosher its kitchen back in March for a Shabbat 100 event headlined by former NFL offensive lineman Alan Veingrad.
"Passover is the most celebrated holiday in the Jewish community," Gorelik told The Rocky Mountain Collegian.
"The university needed to step up, and it did." Student David Perloe, president of the Chabad Jewish Student Center, praised the university's actions.
"It's a beautiful thing," he said. "I'm really happy that [Colorado State] is trying to create a diverse culture." ...
